Granted, it’s just my first music review, but I have to feel like I passed with flying colors. OK, I said I would post my review here and I will honor my word although I’m not going to publish it in its entirety because I have to save something to use in my press kit! So here are a couple of excerpts from my recent CD grading session by renown music writer, Jonathan Widran.

With the release of Whitney Walters’ emotionally compelling, sultry and soulful independent debut album Full Circle, the multi-talented performer shares with the world the diverse musical heart that her fans have known for years. Walters music grabs the heart ever so subtly from the first strains of the title track “Full Circle,” a cool dreamy, trumpet laced ballad about reaping what you sow and treating others right. “Soul Dancing” and “You Don’t Know (What You Do To Me)” keep that sensual and bluesy late night soul cool vibe going, while the mid-tempo pop ballad “What’s Most Important” asks thoughtful, philosophical questions about how we live our lives.

He writes about all of my tracks, but that’ll have to do for now. Pretty soon, I’ll have a full-fledged EPK (electronic press kit) that will contain the rest of the review as well as other info about me and my performances. In the meantime, I’m working on some new songs that I’ll be debuting soon at two CD release parties — details to come! They’re going to be a blast. Keep checking my blog for updates.
