One of my favorite performers is Javier Colon. Javier has an amazing voice, songwriting ability, and plays guitar and piano beautifully. You can check him out on his website, www.javieronline.com.  Here we are singing harmony on “Take It Easy,” being performed by Don Felder.

One of the highlights of our night was listening to the soothing sounds of comedian Gary Valentine. Just kidding. Gary rocked the mic with the style of a true performer. And his lyrics were, well, let’s just say that Michael McDonald would not be pleased.

Soul. Music.

The two are definitely connected for me. After a lifetime of wondering what my purpose is (I mean, come on, I knew it wasn’t folding shirts at the mall), it dawned on me that I was the happiest when I was singing… especially my own music. I think that we have to learn eventually to shut up and listen to our hearts, to that little voice…

Full Circle

My first CD, Full Circle, is five years in the making; it’s not that it was terribly complicated, it just took a while to find the right people to put it together. So let me tell you a little bit about it. There are ten tracks, eight of which are my original songs. I’m going to bite off each song separately and post my thoughts on it as they come up.
