The Reedy River Jazz & Wine Festival hit downtown Greenville on Friday, April 30 at the Peace Center Amphitheater. Along with Whitney and her band, other artists included Keith Davis, Matt Olson, Joel Spencer, Yonrico Scott featuring Charles Hedgepath, Sonny Thornton, Ron Brendle, and of course, headliner and multi-sax sensation, Marcus Anderson.

Proceeds benefited The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas. Along with amazing wines, beers, and delicious food from Larkin’s on the River and The Melting Pot, audiences were treated to an evening of some of the best jazz in the region, spanning the range from Latin jazz and fusion to traditional and contemporary. The concert began at 4:00 pm with The Fine Arts Center Jazz Ensemble, and finished up at 10:00 pm that night with an electric performance by saxman Marcus Anderson.

Tentative date for the 2011 festival is April 29th. For more information, go online to: www.reedyriverjazzandwinefestival.org.
